Gradients Become Solid Blocks
Thread cannot fade smoothly from one color to another. A gradient either becomes a single solid color, or it gets stepped into two or three distinct blocks, or it gets approximated with a blending technique. None of those is the original gradient. Compensation adjusts dimensions slightly to offset fabric movement, and the finished piece should still read with the same proportions as the original.
